The story & inspiration behind Inflyter.
Two significant influences drive the Inflyter story; our founder Wassim’s experience of growing up in Paris with all its beauty and fine detail, and also his passion for air travel and the possibility it presents. For him and many others, travel is a lifestyle choice; taking delight in jumping on a plane at any opportunity, making the most of what the airport has to offer and enjoying the experience of getting from A to B, not just arriving at the destination.
Today, travellers often have to endure rather than enjoy their journey and we want to play our part in bringing back the wonder of travel. While our starting point is to reinvent the duty free shopping experience, we have exceptional ambition to take forward our Paris inspiration to design a more personalised, sophisticated and enchanting retail experience for travellers throughout their travel journey.

Inflyter is officially incorporated, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France.
Awarded a 6 month placement on the X-Up accelerator programme at the École Polytechnique in France, which lasted 12 months due to Inflyter’s growth potential.
Inflyter is awarded one of the first X-Grant prizes, created by École Polytechnique to recognise the most promising start ups in the X-Up accelerator programme.
Inflyter is awarded an exclusive 2 year placement at Agoranov, recognised as one of the leading incubators in France, supporting the acceleration & development of specialist technological & digital startups.
Inflyter announces its first partnership with Beirut Duty Free & showcases our platform at MEADFA in Dubai.
Inflyter is live at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International airport, enabling travellers to buy duty free products using the app and collect purchases at proprietary SmartLockers in the airport.
Inflyter announces Series A investment by Collinson Group, a £1bn global travel experiences and loyalty business with access to relationships with airlines, airports and financial services partners.

advisors & supporters.
As a perpetual traveller & pilot, Wassim is impassioned about working with brands, retailers & airports to deliver the pre-eminent digital experience platform. He is the entrepreneurial dynamo driving Inflyter’s vision, commercial direction, partnership strategy & product roadmap.
Wassim has 10 years’ extensive experience across the aviation industry from engineering, business strategy, international growth to operational expansion & commercial leadership. He also holds a masters in Computing Science from Imperial College London.
Nicolas is responsible for the financial management of the company and oversees our global operations, projects, processes and people.
Nicolas is an experienced entrepreneur with 20 years’ experience in travel, financial & consulting industries. He joined Inflyter in 2015 after founding and selling a successful, internationally recognised business specialising in the interior design of private and corporate jets, and also maintains his own investment company.
Maxime is responsible for the technology strategy, deployment and quality of all our platforms, products and practices.
He is a technical specialist with extensive development expertise in apps and games with audiences of over 10 million users. He has experience of successfully leading technology teams in a listed company and working with large clients such as Disney. Maxime has a proven track record of using cutting-edge technology to deliver innovative digital experiences and commercial value.
Clare is responsible for brand, marketing & digital strategies to increase partner revenue, business growth, customer acquisition & engagement. She also leads our creative strategy and customer experience approach.
With 25 years’ experience, Clare has held senior strategic business & consumer marketing positions with global, regional & new market entry accountabilities. She has worked across the travel, technology, retail & loyalty sectors in start ups, entrepreneurial businesses & corporates.
